What is MBBS?
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is the undergraduate medical degree that qualifies graduates to practice modern allopathic medicine. Graduates are registered as "Dr." with state medical councils under the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The 5.5-year programme covers anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, community medicine, and clinical postings across all major specialties, ending in a year-long rotatory internship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English
- Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% PwD)
- Qualified NEET-UG in the same admission year
